RV HOMEBASE – Management Team
The RV HOMEBASE team is led by a highly experienced development and management team – many of whom are active caravanners or motorhome owners who share your passion for the RV space, and also understand the complexities in creating a master planned residential community of this calibre. Here’s a brief snapshot of the management team leading the evolution of RV HOMEBASE Fraser Coast.
Peter Shadforth, Chairman / Director
Spend any time on the Sunshine Coast, and you will be touched in some way by the legacy of Peter Shadforth.
Over a 43 year history, Peter’s team at Shadforths Civil Engineering Contractors Pty Ltd have been instrumental in shaping the Coast, making a groundbreaking contribution to the creation of residential communities, roads, schools, high-rise towers, public spaces, shopping centres, bridges, waterways and the like.
From modest beginnings working from home as an owner operator, with his wife Noelene answering the phone and doing the bookwork, Shadforths has grown steadily to become a trusted and well respected player in the industry.
Today, Shadforths Civil Contracting team of more than 250 people drive more than $80 million worth of earthmoving and civil projects annually through southeast Queensland, Gladstone, Mackay, Townsville and the mining areas of central Queensland.
His success in these fields has in recent years extended into property development, with a number of successful projects completed through southeast Queensland and beyond.
To achieve these results, Peter has assembled a seasoned, specialist team to manage all aspects of site acquisition, development, marketing and sales – resources that have since proven invaluable in the evolution of the RV HOMEBASE concept.
Peter’s impact today is a legacy of vision, hard work and traditional old school values – a no compromise commitment to credibility and honesty. This culture pervades all aspects of his personal and professional life, with enduring long term relationships at every level.
The Shadforths team includes several families with multiple family members working alongside each other, as well as several staff who have worked for Shadforths for more than three decades – testament to Peter’s leadership and ethos.
One of Peter’s fundamental life principles has been to give back to the community through the business, and a significant contribution is made annually both through direct funding, and through provision of contracting services and machinery for a range of community and charity projects.
Peter lives with his wife Noelene on the Sunshine Coast. He has a son Geoff who works in the business with him and a daughter Amanda who is an artist. Peter, Noelene and the next two generations of their family are long term Sunshine Coast residents.
